Mission Statement

"The New Fiddlers" Statement of Policy and Procedure

Established in October 2010, "The New Fiddlers" currently schedule more than 250 performances each year.  Other than occasional special events, we only schedule regularly recurring dates, for the entire year, and in advance.  We book most of our shows 18 to 24 months in advance.  More than 80% of our scheduled performances are at places that reserve regular monthly dates.

"The New Fiddlers" do not schedule performances during the first seven days of each month, nor beyond the 28th day of each month, except by special arrangement.

"The New Fiddlers" will rarely cancel a scheduled performance, however when a cancelation is necessary, we shall provide at least 30 days written notice, except in an extreme emergency.  Our cancelation policy shall apply to regularly recurring monthly dates only.  Other occasional bookings may be considered tentative, and subject to cancelation without notice.

"The New Fiddlers" normally provide our invoice about 30 days prior to our upcoming performance, usually by email, but occasionally by USPS "snail-mail" or in person.  We normally arrive about one hour prior to our scheduled performance to set up our professional sound system.  We typically perform for one hour, unless otherwise requested.  Our minimum fee is $100 for local venues ($75 for those who reserve regular monthly dates).

Because "The New Fiddlers" associate members are all-volunteer, we may perform as a small group, or as a duet, or as a soloist, depending on circumstances including availability of members.

"The New Fiddlers" are always sensitive to our audience with regard to appropriate attire, program content, and sound system volume.
