Mission Statement

"The New Fiddlers"  Statement of Policy and Procedure

Established in October of 2010, "The New Fiddlers" currently schedule over 300 performances each year.  Other than occasional special events, we only schedule regularly recurring dates, for the entire year, and in advance.  We book most of our shows 18 to 24 months in advance.

Beginning January 2021, "The New Fiddlers" will avoid scheduling performances during the first 7 days of each month, except by special arrangement.

"The New Fiddlers" rarely cancel a scheduled performance.  Other than in an extreme emergency, we provide at least 30 days written notice to cancel a scheduled performance.

"The New Fiddlers" normally provide our invoice about 30 days prior to our upcoming performance, usually by email, but occasionally by "snail-mail" or in person.  We typically perform for one hour (unless otherwise requested), and our minimum fee is $75.00 for local venues.

Because "The New Fiddlers" associate members are all-volunteer, we may perform as a small group, or as a duet, or as a soloist, depending on circumstances including availability of members.

We normally arrive about one hour prior to our scheduled performance to set up our professional sound system.

"The New Fiddlers" are always sensitive to our audience, with regard to appropriate attire, program content, and sound system volume.
